i usually hate this pre-determined time loop stuff, but i secretly LOVE that dean’s prime identifier, that he’s always associated as coming from his father, is in essence, from himself. dean has a lot of self-loathing about how little of his own identity is left after being daddy’s blunt little instrument, but that he gets to have this One (1) Thing, that is functionally, canonically ALL HIS warms my shriveled soul.
